Update, 5 p.m.: The Clarksville Police Department has released more information about the fatal wreck this morning.

Elliot Cherry was driving a motorcycle with his wife, Jessica Ripley, on the back as his passenger, according to a news release from Detective Mike Patterson.

They were traveling northbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard when they collided with an Acura sedan that was making a left turn from Lady Marion Drive towards the southbound lanes.

Cherry died from his injuries, and Ripley was in critical but stable condition Saturday night.

The driver of the Acura showed no signs of impairment, Patterson said.

This is an ongoing investigation, and businesses in the area are asked to review their video for any footage of the crash that might have been captured.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – One person has been killed and another seriously injured in a wreck Saturday morning involving a motorcycle.

At about 6 a.m., a vehicle and a motorcycle crashed at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lady Marion Drive, according to Clarksville Police Detective Mike Patterson.

One person died from injuries and the other was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries. No other information was released about the victims.
