UPDATE (Oct. 30, 1:12 p.m.): The CHP said the motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson east on Roberts Lane when he lost control while negotiating a curve west of Sanford Drive. The Harley crossed into the No. 2 lane, fell on its side and hit a raised curb.
The rider was thrown from the bike and hit a street sign, according to the CHP. He died at the scene.
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A person died in a motorcycle crash late Thursday afternoon in Oildale, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 4:47 p.m. when a rider lost control of their motorcycle going around a turn on Roberts Lane near Sanford Drive, the CHP said. No other vehicles were involved.
