A Georgia motorcyclist was killed Saturday in a crash at Barber Motorsports Park.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Uary Lopes Souza. He was 39 and lived in Acworth.
Coroner’s officials said Souza was taking part in a Sportbike track event at the park. He sustained blunt force injuries when he was involved in a motorcycle collision with another motorcycle.
The crash happened at 4:26 p.m. and Souza was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:30 p.m. The investigation is ongoing by Birmingham police.
