UPDATE: 1:32 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 - The Butte County Coroner's Office identified a woman who died driving her motorcycle in a head-on collision.
Authorities said 54-year-old Robin Abington of Oroville, died Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened on Long Bar Road in Oroville.

OROVILLE, Calif. – A motorcycle driver has been killed after a head-on collision in Oroville.
It happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday on Long Bar Road.
The CHP said the motorcycle driver was heading south on Long Bar Road and Canyon Highlands. The driver of the motorcycle attempted to pass a car in front of her by going over a double yellow line. She was then hit head-on by a Honda pickup truck that was going north.
Medical crews performed CPR on the person driving the motorcycle, but the person died on the scene. The driver of the pickup truck did not face any injuries.
