Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a motorcycle left at a repair shop. Police are also trying to identify a man reportedly seen on surveillance footage at the repair shop the night the 1981 Honda CB900 was stolen, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said.

A 21-year-old Affton man dropped off the motorcycle at K&K Car Repair, 1740 Jeffco Blvd., at about 7 p.m. May 6. He put the motorcycle’s key in the repair shop’s overnight drop box, but when the shop opened at about 7 a.m. May 7, the motorcycle was gone. The keys were still in the drop box, the report said.

Video surveillance showed an SUV and a pickup drive onto the repair shop’s lot and park behind the building the night of May 6. A man allegedly could be seen in the video pushing the motorcycle behind the building, and then the SUV and pickup left the s parking lot, according to the report.

The motorcycle was valued at about $3,200. As of May 13, police had not identified the man nor the vehicles seen in the surveillance video, and the motorcycle was still missing, Ackermann said.

He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
